About the Team

DIRECTOR RODRIGO REYES

Born in Mexico City, Rodrigo has received the support of Tribeca Film Institute, Sundance Institute, California Humanities Council, Film Independent, IFP Narrative and Documentary Labs, the Berkeley Film Foundation, the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE), and the Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC). His films have screened at dozens of festivals across the world, as well as on public television through America ReFramed. Rodrigo has collaborated with Netflix on original content, and is a winner of the Spotlight on Storytellers Award from the Sundance Institute. In 2017, he was named a Guggenheim Fellow.

PRODUCER SU KIM

Su has received industry support from ITVS, Sundance Documentary Fund, NYSCA, California Humanities Council, and Tribeca Film Institute. She was a 2015 Women at Sundance Fellow. Her work has screened at festivals across the world, including Sundance and Berlinale, and has been broadcast on POV and Independent Lens. Su has won multiple awards at Sundance and was nominated to an Academy Award in 2019.
